Is Better Custody a crypto wallet?
Better Custody is a documentation app. It records how your crypto is stored and who to contact. It does not hold or transfer assets, connect to blockchains or exchanges, track balances, or verify wallet configurations.
Should I enter my seed phrase or private keys?
No. Record where your seed backups are stored, their type, and their material. Never enter seed words or private keys into Better Custody.
Can I prepare a record for my family?
Yes. Document your setup, add contacts and your own recovery instructions, then export a PDF for someone you trust. You choose what to share and how to share it. The app does not automatically deliver records or grant access to assets.
Does my documentation have to go into iCloud?
No. Better Custody starts locally on your device. iCloud synchronization is optional and off by default. If you enable it, encrypted records sync through your private Apple CloudKit database, with the corresponding key synchronized through iCloud Keychain.
What devices and languages are supported?
Better Custody is made for iPhone and iPad running iOS 26 or iPadOS 26 or later, with Face ID or Touch ID set up. The app is available in English and German.
Can I protect my exported PDF?
Yes. Choose which information to include, control how sensitive values appear, and add optional password protection. Preview the document before you save, print, or share it.
